ABOUT

Lisa learnt to play the piano at the age of 6 and would often be found playing boogie woogie in her Uncle's pub in the East End of London. A couple of years later her Mum bought her a red guitar and a copy of Bert Weedon's book 'Play In A Day'. Bert lied about it taking a day but Lisa persevered and a few years later was playing in a band with Jools Holland's younger twin brothers Chris and Richard. Together they formed The B Sharps, making their first TV debut at the age of 15 on ITV's Freetime.

By 1987 The B Sharps had evolved into Twinset and the Pearl. With ripped Levis, big hair and even bigger shoulder pads they signed to Miles Copeland's I.R.S. Records and went on to release singles and tour the UK extensively supporting Squeeze.

On and off through the 90's and the 00's Lisa continued to work with Chris. In 2000 she wrote songs for his album Brother Sun Sister Moon and featured on guitar alongside Ash Soan on drums, Dave Swift on bass and Sam Brown on vocals. In 2004 she wrote, performed and produced Butterfly Effect album, supporting Jools Holland's Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and Glenn Tilbrook during 2004-2005. Lisa then worked within Soul Reality, a live vehicle for the very best talent of Brighton's soul and groove community.

After moving to the Isle of Wight she released her first solo album Bring It Back - a collection of songs completely written, performed and produced by Lisa.

For the last couple of years Lisa has been hard at it in the studio again writing, recording and producing her new album Wistful Thinking which brings together all her favourite genres of music, including pop, soul, reggae and more. It’s been quite an adventure.

Wistful Thinking is now available to buy at the online SHOP - click to order your copy!
